Low morale and unqualified middle management

Pros

The company offers decent benefits like three weeks vacation right off the bat and the most of the people you work for a great work companions.

Cons

Management is constantly focused on the quarterly bottom line, which means very little investment in people and layoffs are the norm leading to low morale. Most middle management aren't qualified to be managers and favoritism rules the roost.

Pros

Arrow was a great and caring company. It's positioned itself positively in the market. Congratulations executive management.

Cons

Disregard for people - not at the relationship level, but at the structural level. Continued restructuring for the favor of Wallstreet, without regard for workloads or care of the people who have made it a successful company. Shortsighted. Congratulations executive management.

Pros

I worked at Arrow for a graduate school internship. Overall, the company was competent, the hours are reasonable, and most coworkers are friendly, competent individuals. The focus of the organization is finance and sales though, not technology or innovation. So if you are looking for a sales job or a role as a financial analyst, this could be a great opportunity.

Cons

If you aren't in sales or finance, it becomes clear in the company culture that you are less important. Also, if you weren't an athlete at some point in college you probably won't get considered for any high-up position. The "Five Years Out" slogan is nothing more than a glossy multi-million dollar campaign from a New York Ad Agency, and certainly doesn't reflect the culture or philosophy of the organization. Arrow succeeds more on its vast scope of sales and operational efficiency than it does on innovation or moving technology forward. Many of the management philosophies and technology used within the company, especially workflow, marketing, and analytics software, are clearly dated, which doesn't seem to fit with a company pushing "innovation."
