Pros

If you’re on the right team, the middle-lower level staff are amazing. There are some really great people working here that will go out of their way to help you.

Cons

Applied Materials does not care about their employees. They have grown at such a rapid pace the employee infrastructure is on the brink of collapse due to poor planning and expansion to handle work load. Applied sees their employees as numbers and will justify actions to however suit their needs. The safety team is a joke and operates by focusing on their most recent personal grudge, regardless of the priority level. I loved Applied and put my whole effort into doing my job, but was met with an embarrassingly low salary and constant slaps on the wrist.

Pros

A big parking lot. Gym's were decent 5 years ago.

Cons

Micro managing, No Work Life Balance, Work 6 days a week so the Managers can get a bigger bonus, Record Breaking quarters all year still only means a 2% raise. You will never see your family and pay is $10 dollars less per hour than Austin Average for semiconductor work. You are a number, No one cares about your life outside of Applied. Your thoughts and concerns do NOT matter. You will work for the Overlords and not question them or you will be Punished. The Managers make quarterly bonuses based on our blood sweat and tears,, Output. You will get nothing in return, as they nickel and dime you to death. shorter breaks more strict rules but expecting you to increase output. If they could get away with working you 24/7 they would. Until you drop.
