Pros

Ample parking on weekends, and you get to make new friends every month, and rotate them every six months when they leave

Cons

Everything else: no work life balance, people seem to be more focused on apportioning blame than solving problems, you work every weekend, get called at midnight, and so on. Worse, you are working hard, but you are not actually solving any problems. You are either indulging someone's vanity, or putting a band-aid on a major problem and pushing it down to the next victim to rinse and repeat the cycle. AMAT suffered a lot due to eroding customer trust three short years ago - no one learnt a lesson from that - that cycle is bound to repeat again.

Pros

Good cafeteria, great food & welcoming lunch team

Cons

Toxic work environment, contractors are treated the worst as they expected to drop prioritized tasks and rush to assist executives who will remove you from your position if you simply ask that a support ticket be issued so work can be tracked. --I was warned by a relative who is also a previous employee against accepting any roles here and did not take the warning seriously, I should have listened.

Pros

Amazing leading edge technology, lots to learn from co-workers and some good managers. If you are in the right circle, you will grow well and be handsomely rewarded

Cons

Some of the upper level management really need a lesson in how to deal with other human beings, rather than treat them as just labor to be exploited.
