Pros

Lots of long standing employees in Brazil and LATAM, where it is a lead employer. Good retention for young people, who seem to enjoy working there.

Cons

Male dominated, employment centered in LATAM. Very focused on results and bonuses are hard to achieve. Can be difficult to enter the company from outside, particularly at high levels, as they prioritize the ones who have been there and breed generalists as opposed to specialists. Difficult to achieve bonuses and while much of this is due to the rigor of the results, there are also components of comp that that are more based on favoritism.

Chaotic and toxic work environment

Pros

Pay can be good if you advance well. Lots of learning and development opportunities available.

Cons

Where to begin? ABI projects a nice image on the outside but in reality has a super toxic and chaotic work environment with a clique culture. They removed the home office policy with little notice because the VP came to visit Prague office and decided to force everyone back into the office while completely ignoring how employees feel about it, preaching about 'culture' and free breakfasts, which are actually inedible they are so bad. They also cut the benefits without notice without raising salaries to compensate. The company talks about being data driven but in reality the data is all over the place and bosses anyway go with their biased opinions. Easy to get promoted if you suck up, play the corporate game, and talk about 'dreaming big' etc. Upper management are constantly changing their strategy with yearly 'kick offs' and agendas that subsequently get discarded with no follow-up. IT infrastructure is terrible. It takes multiple tickets to get anything done and having the required tools Employees who focus on saving the day and firefighting are routinely rewarded and promoted despite lots of noise around 'standardization' and making routines sustainable. You have a better chance of being promoted by scheduling meetings after 4pm on Fridays to show your 'visibility' than actually getting work done and improving things. LCP implementation in logistics was a complete sham and created an extremely toxic atmosphere by bosses pretending to know what they are talking about. Upper management is extremely cliquey and multiple compliance cases have been swept under the rug despite colleagues openly knowing about them.
