Pros

Free Beer, Cab Service, Subsidised Canteen.

Cons

Ab-Inbev GCC (India) provides a unique set-up where a lot of culture values are preached and very little practiced. ABI GCC inducts high-performing talents from industry/premier institutes/b-schools with a promise of front-end business partner roles but provides them a back-end operational job where they are required to do all the heavy-lifting and yet make no decisions. Irrational targets are bestowed upon employees without giving them any authority to drive change and in that process they either get burnt (expect atleast 12-14 hours work every day) or get fired (PIP is very common here). Where in some cases, smart employees are able to evolve a solution, still they have to go thru a lengthy, bureaucratic process to get blessed from far less qualified & incompetent zone/service managers who only look to bottle-neck the process to show management they add value in rubber-stamping proposals. There is No support from GCC Management in addressing the elephant in the room. Everyone is looking to save their own back! To add it there is a lot of nepotism in hiring/giving opportunities. If you voice your opinion different from your manager, you may either get suppressed or fired. Lastly, Don’t consider Variable Pay while negotiating CTC - even though you may achieve all of your yearly objectives - you may still end up foregoing 70-80% of your variable pay owing to rationalising factors. My simple advice: Don’t get lured by CTC. If you want to save your career - Do NOT join the company even if they offer you a very attractive CTC.

Pros

Salary is competitive. Quick opportunities for advancement if you fit the company culture.

Cons

Absolutely no work-life balance; will have to cancel vacations as necessary to attend last-minute meetings. Brazilian management make all the decisions and don't include lower-level, non-Brazilian employees. Culture encourages cut-throat mentality and attitude internally and with vendors/agencies. Unless you enjoy treating people like they are numbers on a page, you'll be embarrassed to say you work here with your vendors/agencies.

It's A Brazilian Bank Not A Beer Company

Pros

Given the extremely high workload you will learn how to effectively manage every second of your day. It is true that they promote those who work hard, but that comes at an expense (See cons).

Cons

They use the "casual work environment" and "open office" to tout that everyone has a voice, but the reality is all the decisions are made at the top and everyone else is just a pawn to execute them. There is absolutely no pride in the products, it's amazing how this company has managed to take the fun out of beer. The workload is completely unrealistic but they keep trimming headcount - the culture dictates that you say "Yes" to everything, else consider your next promotion gone. Everyone is so stressed out that there is lots of fighting and tension between people who are supposed to be working together. If you have a life outside of work (Hobbies, Family, etc..) then you are seen as not "committed" to the business, be prepared to be on call 24/7/365. Being an American hampers your ability to move up, if you are not a Brazilian male who speaks Portuguese then your prospects are limited.
