Pros

I have progressed well through the organization. They believe in promoting from within and they offer a lot of training to qualified people (Six Sigma belts, etc). The money is average or higher (from what I have seen). If you are analytical, you are valuable. Fringe benefits are top notch. VIP for everything.

Cons

There is no work / life balance. This is an M&A firm owning a brewery. Result: bottom line is more important than people or product. Consistent pressure on sales team against competing and conflicting performance measures. Little to no bonus, though variable pay is touted as one of the best parts of the company. Youth coming into organization has little-to-no passion. This impacts the morale of the valuable tenured employees. Constant need to be aligned with the culture stands out as #1 most-valuable attribute - regardless of capability. Breeds a company of "yes" men and woman and doesn't create open discussion for progress. Close-minded and non-empathetic. Communication between most levels of leadership and the field has completely broken down. Wholesalers have lost faith due to regular shipping / logistics issues and continued price increases on products that already have volume challenges.

Pros

Office Big brand Open bars

Cons

This company is currently the worst in the market. They recently scrapped the home office benefit, now only permitting it for severe illness. Despite demanding work and unattainable targets, the salary is a joke, with micromanaging managers, especially in CCXNC, offering no recognition—only criticism. In contrast to other companies, where roles are relatively relaxed, here, you're almost enslaved by excessive work and minimal compensation. The cancellation of home office seems designed to push people to resign, avoiding the need to lay them off with compensation. Think twice before joining ABI; it was once a good company, but recent challenges reveal its true colors. ABI is no longer a respectable workplace or environment, as the tough times have taken a toll on its reputation over the years.

Pros

"Brand name" recognition, health and benefits, lifestyle if you so choose

Cons

I can't begin to express the deceit I felt six months into this job. Middle management are mostly undeserving of their positions, upper management are mostly Brazilian, and talented junior-inbetween people are either put at odds with each other, or so disgruntled that they don't feel like trying anymore. This is probably why they all leave before having a chance to be promoted to middle management. Don't expect to be listened to or promoted if you're not Brazilian, or at least of Latino descent. Otherwise, sacrifice personal and family and comfort for the opportunity to move ahead at this company. For the bonus levels here, not worth it. The company is always in cost-cutting mode and telling employees to treat the company's money as their own. This is not a startup folks, it's a corporation...one that lacks the benefits of other corporations and many startups.
