During my time at Anglo American, I worked as a Communications Technician, supporting the installation and maintenance of communication systems across site operations. The role provided valuable hands-on experience in a large-scale mining environment and deepened my understanding of industrial communications infrastructure.

Cons

I encountered several challenges during my tenure. Leadership at the time lacked experience, which often led to reactive decision-making and missed opportunities for proactive planning. This created inefficiencies in workflow and impacted team morale. Additionally, many of the systems in use were outdated, which made it difficult to implement modern solutions or streamline maintenance processes. Despite raising these concerns and offering input for improvement, there was limited openness to change.
