Pros

Relatively stable large organization with very good benefits package. Because of the acquisition of Bemis it provided Amcor with a strong selection of excellent products to bring to large companies in the CPG world

Cons

The organization spends top dollar on consulting firms (Boston Consulting, McKenzie..etc, but refuses to listen to its employees. Many managers have little to know experience in the role they are in. Amcor is now a training ground for inexperienced to lightly experienced sales people and sales managers. If considering a sales role at Amcor it should be noted that your performance is only as good as the account base that you have. No growth accounts will me little bonus potential. Trying to build a territory with new business is difficult because the Amcor business model doesn't support small companies with potential. The business model is for large companies with existing business. Get as much salary as you can up front. Do not go on "earnings potential"

Pros

Pay scale is pretty decent

Cons

This company supports racism. They do not reprimand nor give consequences to employees that call co workers racial slurs. There is no repercussion. This particular employee has called more than one employee the "N" word at least twice and is still employed with no suspension or reprimand. My husband is one of his victims. Employees are supposed to be cross trained for all roles. As it turns out, all of those who get to pick what they are going to do each shift (same thing) and opt not to cross train, are white. They encourage and support retalliation and hostility in the workplace by continuously scheduling victims with people that have verbally race shamed them, despite the offender being from another shift, he is continuously scheduled on his victim's shift.
