Pros

The money. They pay you a lot to work a hell of a lot. No work / life balance so kiss that goodbye. The benefits are okay, but honestly, this is probably something you won't even have time to enjoy depending on which department you work for. If you are an IT professional, run don't walk away from this company. They work their IT employees extra hard and not much appreciation is awarded. Other than that, there are SMALL perks by working for Amazon. Visiting book authors will stop by and employees get a chance to meet them and hear them talk in a conference room. That's about it!

Cons

The management. Ever been yelled at by Jeff Bezos in a meeting? Then you haven't really experienced Amazon. :) I would always hear rumors about the executives coming back from meetings either with their tails between their legs, or just coming back red in the face having just been screamed at by Mr. Bezos. I think the day this man decides to stop micromanaging the management and let them take the reins and do their jobs will be a much happier time for Amazon employees as a whole. It all comes straight from the top and trickles down to the employees.

Pros

I honestly can't think of any.

Cons

I worked for a few software companies during my career. This is by far the worst one. People are horrible, politics and back stabbing is rewarded over hard work, management shouldn't be entrusted to manage sheep, let alone people. Please stay away. Listen, if you got an offer from Amazon, and you're on the fence, let this anonymous review push you over to the right side. STAY AWAY. Yeah, the money might seem like a lot, but when you quit or get fired after 6 months, good luck repaying back gross (meaning more than they gave you) amount.

Pros

Great atmosphere and place to work. Genuinely still a true startup thinking and best customer obsession I've ever seen. Couldn't wish for any place else.

Cons

That I haven't started earlier to work in this Amazing company.
