Pros

Enjoyed my last 5 years at Allstate, thought it would be my forever home. They really seemed to care for there employees and customers. They no longer do. All changed with the new VP.

Cons

The are moving towards being a call centre insurance company. No personal touch anymore, just another number. Employees are beyond stressed, huge pay cuts with more work. Nobody likes working there anymore and I expect when the pandemic slows your top agents will be leaving for greener pastures

Pros

- Time Off (PTO) - Desk Space - Paid License (Adjuster)

Cons

Hands down, Allstate was one of the most toxic environments I have worked in. I would never suggest any person to apply to Allstate if you truly care about your mental health, quality of life, and value of your talents. Allstate is a large company that will eventually either get bought out, or go out entirely. There is zero job security as they do not care about their policy holders. The goal is to assist the insured and claimant as quickly as possible with minimal contact and payout. Their Quick Foto Claim process creates delays and headaches. Yet management pushes this as their manager's manager's manager pushes it further. Your word will mean NOTHING. You WILL be overworked to the point where you will feel guilt at the end of the day. Training is minimal -- you basically train yourself while getting reprimanded along the way as you learn things you have done were processed incorrectly. There is no solid, established training program. Allstate WILL throw you to the wolves. You are worth more than the garbage pay -- what they expect is out of the range of salary and benefits. Which reminds me, the benefits are non-existent minus the time off they give. Do yourself a favor and find a job where you will be valued and cared about. In the long run, this is the best option. Chances are, you will either be fired, go through a layoff, or be part of the high percentage of turnover.

Pros

25 days of PTO You’re not being micro managed

Cons

There is no work life balance in the claims dept Everyone quits but they never rehire Management does not listen to employees No diversity in upper management All they care about is numbers and surveys Health benefits are way too expensive Management plays favoritism and it’s obvious They don’t pay enough for the BS that we mentally go through on a daily basis
