Cons

Low salary, even for lower management jobs You are not paid for your responsibilities Many older collegues are opposing change Management is very slow at providing information and does not listen well to its employees.

Pros

One of the main reasons to work at Albert Heijn for me was the personal relation you can build with the company. Training and coaching are done on daily basis, and there are plenty of opportunities to grow within Albert Heijn. Whether it is within a store and becoming a manager or outside it at the headquarters in Zaandam, all options are open.

Cons

Depending on the store or position that you're in, lot of people generally come and go at AH. This makes long lasting team-building difficult, but also offers a lot of possibilities too.
