Pros

Advantages of working at Albert Heijn part-time in NL is that you are bound to get an all-in fair wage and employment for at least 3 subsequent contractual periods in the stores. This includes vacations! I found myself learning about customer service, being polite in the most outrageous situations, and some minor leadership skills and teamwork.

Cons

When you start as a part-timer your employment is unlikely to last longer than 3 years. Usually you'll become to expensive and they won't renew your contract. Additionally, depending on the store's senior management the opportunities to advance your career are usually reasonably limited.

Pros

The people inside the company are fun. Next to that is the work time pretty flexible, and is it not bad when you need a vacation day.

Cons

Having to negotiate about the fact that the monthly salary was not calculated correctly, almost every month
