Pros

You can work from home

Cons

90% of these good-rate comments are provided by company's bots (and you can easily recognize them). Company is bad. Very unhelpful and unresponsive management , very bad behavior towards tutors, salary reduction (not even noticed in advance), you can't get a deserved bonus because they just come up with some imaginary complain and that's it. TMs behave like you're idiot and lie to you all the time. They require a lot of testing and examination, despite those being awfully prepared with a lot of mistakes. Very bad materials developed by the company with a lot of mistakes. one big NO. Also, racism. I've recommended 3 black friends (native speakers) and they were all rejected. There are many other cases when they demonstrated racism. big big very big NO

Pros

The only Pro about working in Acadsoc is working at home

Cons

My honest review for acadsoc. I don't think there is a pros for working in Acadsoc. Firstly, the training is very bad. After you pass interview and tech check, they will assign you to a trainer. You'll be trained for one hour and 30 mins ONLY. AND that training doesn't help you prepare for the class that you're going to have in the future. It doesn't even discuss in the training the possible penalty that you would be getting. Let me explain further. 1. They offer you very low starting salary. (trust me when I say your salary wouldn’t pay off your internet connection and electricity bill) 2. The advertisement sad you will be teaching basic English to kids. BUT they didn’t told us that there will be 30-40 years old students and the lesson is all about business. (thank God I have a call center background so I know how to wing it) 3. Lessons change all the time, like for real. So on my first day I prepared my morning lessons. When I opened the teaching tools again to practice, the lessons changed, so the lessons you prepared had gone to waste. 4. UNHELPFUL TM! Yup, caps lock because my TM was USELESS, UNHELPFUL, and LAZY. She wouldn’t help you even if you saw her active status. And if she reply which is rarely, she wouldn’t answer your questions and would just ask you about your next week schedule. 5. UNBOOKED CLASSES ARE NOT PAID! So even if you’re online for 11hrs waiting for someone to book you and you just got booked for 2hrs, those hrs that you don’t have a student is not paid. IF YOU CHECK THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS HERE IT SAYS UNBOOKED CLASS ARE PAID. Don’t believe them. IT’S A SCAM
