One of the best ESL companies to work for

Pros

Flexible schedule Friendly students Pay is given on a weekly basis Lots of bonuses I work around 30-40 hours here each week and I earn more than most people I know who have jobs at companies. Even at 30 hours, I earn more than most people I know who have full-time jobs. Plus, I don't need to commute so I get to have a lot of time for myself.

Cons

Few opportunities for growth. This is a good place to start working, but I wouldn't recommend it in the long run because the career growth is limited. Yes you will earn more than most entry-level jobs, but at least those people have opportunities to advance and get promoted over time. However, I know that Acadsoc is opening offices in the Philippines, so maybe there will be more opportunities then. Also, I hope there is also a more comprehensive feedback system for students (like attitude, recommendations, and such). Deductions are also very high

Pros

I had a part-time job in Acadsoc and the pay was okay. Not great but okay considering you don't have to pay taxes and other fees and I live in an urban city where earning 10k would suffice. You get to work at home and I would say it's better than commuting especially if you are in an urban area with lots of heavy traffic. The students are mostly friendly and you can form a friendly relationship with them.

Cons

I have referred other people to this company because of their referral system but HR hasn't done any quick and proper action about it. My friend asked about her application, she just got ignored. Schedules are suddenly removed without any notice. Reminder to the company: If you agreed to plot this schedule in the previous week then don't removed whatever is plotted. JUST GIVE US A NOTICE. Also, I received a complaint and was reprimanded but asked what is it about, they just ignore you. Seriously?
