Pros

Money. I cant say anything. The benefits were great. I think I made a great deal of money during my career there, but that is all I can say.

Cons

Management. If they dont like you, your out. They make threats. Just awful people. They treated us like kids. We had people monitoring PEE breaks, and conversations. They did not promote unity, they promoted everything that was wrong. They made once good reps into managers that were evil people. This company really brought out the worst in me. The stress I was under with them was bad. So many people are suing them now, as I saw it on the news. I always say, it comes back one way or the other.

Pros

Benefit package is really nice compared to other companies Communication within the company is pretty good, considering how big it is There are a lot of opportunities for leadership Lots of training People there are for the most part are really fun to work with Really big on diversity in the work place Senior Leadership really good about having meetings with the company and taking questions from employees

Cons

You might not always agree with the company's political agenda in Washington (anti-net neutrality ect) Time management systems suck, you'll enter your time every week into 3 different systems Everything is an acronym. Which can be really confusing sometimes, specially when one acronym has multiple meanings

Pros

In reading all of the reviews for AT&T, I see a wide range of pros and cons. This is because AT&T consists of a number of merged companies which had different work sites, policies and cultures. A reviewer's opinion of AT&T depends upon where they work and which merged company he/she worked for. I see lots of complaints about not being allowed to telecommute. However, I telecommute most days and know of many people at my work location who telecommute occasionally or often. Other complaints center on benefits, but again it depends upon what your benefits were in the pre-merged company vs. the benefits after merging with AT&T. Maybe in 10 years AT&T will have a consistent corporate feel across all locations and organizations, but that's not the case today. I feel that the pay and benefits are good reasons to work at AT&T.

Cons

The downside is that you may end up working for an AT&T organization in a location with poor morale, micromanagement, employee distrust, etc. Also, AT&T is constantly cutting, cutting, cutting, and looking for ways to save money. This often ends up reducing benefits for employees. Regardless of whether or not the benefits are better than industry standards, the reductions result in less of what you had before.
