Pros

They offer a good benefits package, with ample vacation. There is a flexibility to work changeable hours if you need to leave early or come in late, and generally treated as a professional without too much complaint. However, senior manager has been heard to state " Im the teacher, you are the schoolkids" which is not a phrase a good leader should ever utilise. Team cohesiveness is great, the average engineer has a teamspirit that keeps everyone going. Everyone chips in to help each other, to achieve the goals laid down. Relaxed environment, always able to fit in short pieces of "personal" activities during a day without complaint.

Cons

Expectation to give up personal life to meet senior management expectations. They dont want to hear "cant". Have a need to have "Yes Men" in significant positions, and do not take kindly to realistic communications sometimes

Pros

It beats the bread line. I don't get a multi million dollar salary, which I personally find obscene for what they do to get it. The medical benefits are average and so is the perks from the 401K plan. Only match 3%. My old company had a 100% match up to $1000 and 50% for the remainder balance.

Cons

Incompetant and petty senior managers and directors. I'm clueless who they had to "do" to get to their current positions of authority. From personal experience, if the higher-ups in management knew what their directors were illegally doing just to increase the bottom line, they'd be fired and black-balled from any other communications enterprise.

Pros

Large company job advancement only if you are willing to move to main offices. If you do not move job advancement is limited.

Cons

Staffing, more work than current staff can handle in work week. Which requires OT which is but is not compensated for salary employees. Cutting benefits - time off, employee phone plans and no backfilling jobs. This puts more work on the employees.
