Pros

Great Benefits-Health Insurance Good Culture

Cons

You will never grow in this company.. I was told that there would be a lot of growth and utilization at ASEA. Instead I got shot down for any position I wanted to go for. I was very persistent in asking for things to do and I was pro active in asking for possible growth in different positions if I applied .. Instead, The COO (Jarom Webb) of the company told one of the ECs that they didn't have the "Bandwidth" to help me grow, and that they couldn't even spare a couple dollar raise because of budget cuts and that they were not giving any raises to anyone at this time. A few days later, while sitting in an HR mtg they brought up an employees name who requested a raise and it got approved.. I was shocked ! I was told there would be no room for a dollar or two raise! I felt betrayed and lied too. I was dependable and cheerful , I came with a smile on my face and greeted everyone with kindness. They had no intentions on ever moving me out of the Receptionist position after being there for nearly 2 years.. I made it known that I was needing growth and opportunity and all anyone would ever say to me was " We just love you as our Receptionist" I felt over looked and tossed at sea. I finally got so frustrated I decided to change my life and get out of that toxic environment. I was able to find a better paying job with the things I needed to succeed. They have their favorites in that company and I was not one of them, It is definitely a "Good ol' Boys Club".. I am not the only one who feels this way. I wanted to use my voice to speak for myself and the others who are to afraid they may lose their job out of the frustration they have from going completely unnoticed.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that there weren’t the growth opportunities you expected here. Career development is important to us, and we’re working to improve how we support each employee in that journey. We haven't always succeeded in this. I’ll take this feedback to heart. I appreciate the positivity you brought to ASEA and wish you amazing success in your new role!

worst marketing department ever!

Pros

Great people and pay, and I loved going to work and being part of the team.

Cons

No direction, unclear strategies, putting way too much time into things that never panned out, didn't know their market, and unclear about their messaging, allowed non-experts (project managers) to dictate marketing campaigns, copy, and other things that most companies would leave to the hired professionals, division amongst the executives, and lot of wasted money. There is also no room for growth; when they need to please the executive committee, they will let you go without thinking twice, you are expendable!

Pros

I've worked at ASEA for 6 years, I even left and worked for another company before I ended up coming back, because you just don't find a place like this. The people are super friendly, they put a lot of time and effort in to the development of leadership, and it's a good environment. They've come a long way in transparency and communication!

Cons

People don't leave, so growth opportunities outside of your current role (like a move to another department) don't come around very often.
