Pros

None. Could be the fact they tend to win contracts with some great clients, although poor implementation & management means the potential of this is never realised, hence many clients not staying beyond their initial locked in contract period.

Cons

Poor management. Low cost, reactive, agency approach, not a quality approach tailored to specific clients needs. May work in high volume recruitment settings, but not in specialised partnerships. Makes it difficult for internal recruiters with a quality, customer focus to be able to operate in this way and source proactively and become business partners. No understanding of what a solid internal talent acquisition function should look like, or how to acheive this in a way that is commercially viable for AMS. Lean staffing, expect ongoing long, flat out days with no support if requested.

Pros

Great client base, reputable name in industry that's about it really. I need to write min 20 words and I'm really struggling.

Cons

Where do I start. Firstly there is poor management and career development plans in place purely because management don't have a clue. Employees are forced to put on a front for prospective clients. So many people in the Bracknell centre are unhappy and if you don't believe me you just need to look at the staff turnover for 2014. You are held back from career progression and if you make internal enquiries for other opportunities without the knowledge of your manager your days get numbered, you are made to feel like an unfaithful employee. No flexibility and clock watching culture. If your face doesn't fit you stand no chance.

Pros

Great, varied, engaged client base.

Cons

AMS is all about who you know. I was actually told this by a manager who was promoted into management in under a year. Internal promotion is virtually non-existent unless you're "in" Expectations are sky high and pay scales vary grossly. Having received an internal current opportunities email (which was later recalled) showing what salaries would be paid for roles I was shocked. Managers, of which you'll have a lot, are in general well meaning but inconsistent and dont present information given to them by the recruiters on the ground but what the senior management team expect. You exit feeling used by this company, they tend to chew people up and spit them out, turnover is a recognised problem but only the NFI (net fee income) matters.
