Pros

Decent benefits, health care and generous holiday entitlement. It's almost impossible to get fired. Working from home (which is now a pro to most establishments).

Cons

No career progression unless you are willing to suck up to the right people. Managers promoting their previous team mates and work friends into senior positions. Loyalty, work ethic and meeting targets is not enough. Laziness is not only tolerated but seems to be rewarded. New, less experienced people are being brought into the company over promoting current employees. You are not supported in your development. You're work load is so much you do not have time to self develop

Pros

Some good recruiters and colleagues to work with. Get exposure to work on different accounts which can be good for networking in the long run

Cons

No pay increase generally and you don't get a pay rise, even when requested with business case unless you threaten to leave Senior management team are very clickly and contribute very little to work load or morale. They seem more focused on boasting about material things and their personal lives/how much money their partners make People leave your team and they're not replaced so work load increases heavily with no reward Lack of transparency about changes that will directly affect you

Pros

There is good flexible working

Cons

Poor senior management Multiple layers of management so you have no idea who is actually in charge Takes 5 different committees to decide on anything The C suite don't care at all about the lower workers, they announced new senior leader hires on the day that 100s were made redundant and didn't even send an email out acknowledging them at all. Lied about bonus in interview then when you arrive they tell you it actually hasn't been paid in 2 years
