Pros

- Hybrid set up - Has more leaves - HMO - Nice officemates

Cons

- A “yes ma’m” or “yes sir” management to the client LOL - Little to none career growth - No guaranteed salary increase/bonus - Says be a team player but there’s no benefit anyway - Does not care to employees’ concerns

Thank you for sharing your experience so candidly. We’re glad to hear you valued your colleagues, hybrid setup and benefits - strong working relationships matter, and we appreciate the impact our teams have on one another. We also hear your concerns around compensation, career progression and workload. Feedback like this reinforces the importance of listening and continuing to evolve. Not what it used to be

Pros

Remote working and very, very few members of the C Suite.

Cons

Micromanagement is the master theme here. No annual increases, bonuses are a joke when they do happen (which is about the same chance of winning the lottery). Focus is solely on valuation in the PE space. Clients are viewed as valuation multipliers only. Employees are treated a recyclable garbage and quickly tossed aside to make the company numbers look better. Employees used to be viewed as value drivers, but not anymore-merely viewed as costs. There is zero accountability at AMS. Someone is always blaming someone else for failures or lost bids. It's always the market and downturns...never on how things are delivered. Looking in the mirror is hard to comprehend at AMS. Lots of incompetent "senior leaders". I use the term leader on purpose. AMS could be a textbook example in a McKinsey playbook on how not to operate.

Thank you for sharing such candid feedback. It’s clear you’re feeling disappointed and frustrated, particularly around leadership, accountability, recognition and how people experience decision-making today. We know experiences can shift over time, especially as markets and client demands evolve. That doesn’t lessen the importance of how those changes are felt by our colleagues. Creating an environment grounded in trust, fair reward and responsible leadership remains critical to us. If you’re open to it, we would value a more direct conversation at stephanie.gillingham@weareams.com. Any discussion would be treated in complete confidence.

Poor Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good colleagues and support from wider network of colleagues

Cons

Poor management. Managers who use your one to one to talk solely about themselves and not the employees career and progression plan. Listening to manager droning on about themselves for hours while pretending to be interested is unreasonable. The manager coming out with far right conspiracy theories and racist tropes is disgusting. There is no way to escalate this without fear of reprisals from Director level who tell you to keep it to yourself Constant jeopardy of being made redundant when the client decides to reduce or cancel contracts. No opportunity for development. Its a culture of who you know for development. Lack of care to employees. Its all about the bottom line Managers are lazy and are never available to employees for work purposes. The managers are a gang and are fake in their approach to staff lay offs. Flexible working isn't as good as it sounds for employees unless you're a senior manager who has a facade of working The company is awful in the last few years with good people leaving and dead wood remaining
