Horrible interview experience

Pros

No pros that I know of

Cons

I was put through a 4 hour interview plus multiple phone interviews for a position. Recruiter told me I was the preferred candidate and that they just needed an okay to give an official offer. I was moving from out of state and moved in the mean time as they said they were just waiting on one person. They kept pushing it back and back each time they called then when I was suppose to start that month they called and said they weren’t doing the program anymore. I had to scramble and find a temp job because I thought this one was already lined up, now I lived in a new apartment with no income as I was told I would be starting in a few weeks at that time. When they told me it was not happening they said the program would be happening in a few months. Those months came and went as I continued to follow up with them and they never once just told me that there was no opportunity. Extremely frustrating and upsetting experience, I wish the recruiters were more up front with me with what was going on especially because they knew I was moving to the area needing a job.

Pros

They work with well known blue chip organisations. Excellent benefits package Excellent work life balance

Cons

There is little reward for hard work and success in the service center in Bracknell. I did not find it an inspiring place to work. It felt like I was back at School at times and I was not treated like an adult. Most of the managers should not be managers or should be given a significant amount of training before starting the positions. It is too SLA driven and there is more interest in reporting and filling out spreadsheets than building a relationship with the client and finding the best candidate. The relationship with the suppliers or agencys does not seem to be that good either. The Bracknell office is over crowded and I would recommend a move to larger premises. The Bracknell office is not well managed and needs to have a more grown up approach to it and some respect shown to the employees. They also need to have a database or CRM, not a different system depending on the client. It was very frustrating when trying to source/recruit a role and I was astonished that the company does not have a central database for candidates like in an agency environment. I agree with some earlier comments about "bums on seats" approach.

Many thanks for your feedback. As the recently appointed Head of Centre in Bracknell I have set up a number of projects led by team members themselves that focus on wellbeing, development, technology and communication which have been initiated to enhance the working environment. I believe we are making some positive steps in all of these areas and I'd be keen to showcase these to you, and also hear some more detailed feedback from you if you are happy to share further. Servant Leadership Crap

Pros

I started my recruitment career here. It was a good training ground. You can learn a lot by simply shadowing from the works of the tenured employees

Cons

1. HR is not competent enough to know what are the needs of their employees. They reply to email in an untimely manner. They don't know the process of arranging the loans, salary deductions and A LOT MORE. What they know is be the GUEST RELATIONS OFFICERS when there are clients. 2. If you get redeployed to another account, you have to follow up on everything which is suppose to be the job of HR.

I am naturally concerned to read your feedback. As you may know I recently spent a week with the Manila team understanding what people like and don't like about working for Alexander Mann Solutions. I worked with the wider team to build a comprehensive plan to improve employee experience in the centre. I would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this in more detail. Please contact me at sheena.cartwright@alexmann.com. Many thanks, Sheena
