Good employer but highly demanding work

Pros

Variety, Flexibility, Calibre of People, always striving to improve & grow, Global footprint

Cons

Work-life balance. A lot is expected from people Clique mentality at HQ - this often means conflicting priorities between managing clients well and developing career (if you're not selling yourself to certain leaders it just isn't easy to progress at a senior level) Remote countries not supported centrally (HR, IT etc)

Pros

Wide range of clients and recruitment services Global exposure, in-depth knowledge of client's recruitment strategy Free packed meals for night shift employees Whilst I agree with most if the statements from other current and previous employees, what drove me to write a review was that I began to see real change. Air-conditioning: facilities has become surprisingly proactive in informing employees for any issues that may arise. It has become more and more tolerable working at night. Activities: just had town hall after more than 6 months; received invites for future townhalls-quarterly. Recently concluded midyear event. Senior managers: finally saw them walking and working during night shift after my 2+ years with the company. Simple and basic as it may sound, it has helped me personally to be hopeful and look forward with great anticipation what's in store next. I appreciate that other challenges wont be solved overnight but felt good to be finally having a voice.

Cons

Most challenges were already indicated and most of which still exists today: HR, payroll, benefits and compensation, etc.

I recently spent a week with the Manila team understanding what people liked and what people didn't like and working wiht the wider team to build an ongoing engagement plan. Pros

- kind and pleasant organization - open door culture - training ground for inexperienced employees

Cons

- benefits are not competitive - company-spoiled workforce - "junior" managers profile - senior management fond of approving exceptions - the kind of company that you just stay for awhile while waiting for much better opportunities

Thank you for your feedback. I spent last week in Manila speaking to many employees about what they like and don't like about working for Alexander Mann Solutions.
