If you are looking for an entry level position, it can be a great place to gain experience in a professional environment. They match 401k and you are fully vested from the beginning.

Cons

The work-life balance does not exist. It is all about the bottom line and the numbers. During the summer you will have mandatory overtime, and during the winter they will lay off the temps, and reduce hours of the full time staff. Pay is definitely below average and since the company is run by business folks in Australia, don't expect your voice to be heard or anything to change.

To compensate for a terrible fiscal year management blamed the employees. Forced to use up vacation and PTO, some were asked to resign.

Good experience in a lab and looks good on a resume. Good for a first job out of a science degree.

Cons

Lack of tasks. Simply too many people working in the lab, all working less than half the time. Safety was overkill - certain protective equipment was wasteful and time consuming (arm sleeves for working with acids). Having to find a stool to take bins off a shoulder height shelf for example
