Work duties may be simple. Team work.

Cons

Upper management has no respect nor does it afford any dignity to the largest group of employees, the technical labour segment. Whilst this isn't an issue during day-to-day work but should ever any disagreement or conflict arise, this becomes evident. Employees are always wrong, managers, supervisors are always right. Some supervisors can be absolutely sadistic. If and when this occurs, upper management cares not at all. HR personnel may have no HR qualifications and have handled issues very poorly and without professionalism; contravening the law at times. Safety: upper management does no more than the absolute minimum required in compliance with the law. All employee suggestions / recommendations may be disregarded. All incidents are faults of the employees. All incidents must have a scapegoat.

It is our sincere commitment to create a respectful and comfortable work environment for all our employees. We welcome and encourage employee feedback in order to fulfill this commitment and have developed avenues for employees to raise any concerns that they may have. These avenues include direct access to Corporate Head Office if it is felt that issues are being addressed poorly at the local level. It is unfortunate that these concerns were not brought forward during the course of employment as our ability to address is hampered without a better understanding of the situation. As always, we continue to appreciate feedback and welcome any additional information.

Not many to speak of - perhaps there is lots of bureaucracy that could work in your favor if you are a person interested in hiding out for a low-medium industry wage and not accomplishing much.

Cons

The company I worked for was acquired by ALS. After 2 years of observing continuous mismanagement and waste of resources due to a horribly thought out transition I jumped ship. Lots of overlap in positions and no real structure or clarity of job roles after 2 years.
