Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits, generous paid time off to start.

Cons

Inexperienced and underqualified management. Tedious, incomprehensible and ever-present corporate interference. Unrealistic profitability goals for the industry. Horrible LIMS and related software with no support to speak of.

Pros

You work like a slave, still broke and can only pay half your rent. Good Job ALS! Way to stay classy. On a serious note, the benefits aren't terrible.

Cons

Are you ok with being under paid for hard physical labor? Are you ok with racial slurs? What about employees showing up to work high? Getting hit on? Harassed? Managers telling you that you are stupid? Backstabbing coworkers? Well then congratulations, you have found yourself the perfect place to work. Its a joke really, and if you take a job here you clearly have pretty low standards for yourself. They expect you to work in 110 degree heat with lab coats on, no AC and they think 13.07 is an acceptable wage. Their scheduling is so unpredictable having a life outside of the company is impossible. One day you are on swing, the next they want you on Graveyard. Come December and January get ready for lay offs. They talk about how they don't discriminate or they don't tolerate drug use, harassment etc. However they put up with it all. Never once did they do random drug screens, even when it was obvious people were stoned out of their mind. Everything is always somebody else fault. I honestly don't have a good thing to say about the Reno Lab.If you want job advancements, look somewhere else. Only raise you will get is the COLA ( cost of living act) which is a whole .20 cents.
