Pros

The cafeteria workers are nice and the pay is okay if you happen to be one of the people making a fair wage.

Cons

Everything else. Hey ADT, why are you telling employees if they work overtime you'll remove unplanned time from their record but not actually doing it? Why are you promoting new people instead of people who have been there longer and know more? Why are you promoting people who have been accused of harassment? Why are new hires starting out at a higher pay than the tenured employees who mentor them? Why do managers not get vacation time because their employees don't do overtime? Why are you forcing loyal employees to work overtime just because you can't adequately staff your center because you have made the job miserable so no one wants to work there? ADT used to be a great place work work. Fair pay, great benefits, management that knew how to talk to people to properly coach them and made them feel like a human being and not just a robot switchboard. Then it got bought out and upper management decided they wanted to make even more money, and the obvious way to do that is to screw over your employees. Let's lower our already hard-to-hit metrics to numbers that are impossible, even for the best of the best! Win-win for ADT. Customers MAYBE have their call answered ten seconds faster, and since the metrics are impossible to hit, all of our employees are going to fail their monthly reviews so we don't have to give them raises! How does it make any sense that using the bathroom counts against my metrics that are measured while talking to a customer? I'm taking a pee, not on the phone, so why does it count in my on the phone stats? There is literally a separate metric to measure when I am off the phone when I'm supposed to be on it, how is a bathroom break not counted in that number? Why does it count against me when I need to conference to a department that you require a conference to? Why does it count against me when I transfer to a department that does something I can't do? Why are you all such pieces of garbage that don't care anything about the employees you are literally driving into depression and anxiety? Potential employees, anywhere is better than this place. Make minimum wage in retail. Make minimum wage in fast food. I guarantee you you will be happier than you will ever be at this place. I used to be a really happy person and now I am just angry and bitter all the time. I have gone back to serving and am slowly regaining the person I was instead of being just a shell. Less money, but much better for my mental sanity. I'm not popping Xanex like candy every day before, during, and after work, praying I don't get a call that will negatively affect my stats, hoping I don't start throwing up and have to miss work because I'll get fired since our shady director promised us all our unplanned time would be removed and then went back on his word to his hardworking employees so they now can't miss any time or they'll be fired. Potential customers, go somewhere else. Ring, Nest, Simpli Safe. Literally anywhere but ADT. The service itself is good, but the way the company treats employees is disgusting, even for a call center. Give your money to a company that isn't garbage to work for. Anyone else who pulls the strings at ADT, or who has or will pull strings, without having compassion and respect for your employees: you all deserve horrible things. So many people have dedicated their time to this company and you crap all over them.

Pros

Co-workers are awesome, the Cafe is awesome

Cons

Where do I begin? You are just a number to them a body in a seat to answer a phone call. You will be answering calls back to back with no time to breath and if you take 30 seconds to actually take a breath they will be coming to "check on you" log off the phone before you are scheduled to, if you have to use the restroom they will follow you. Policies change every week it seems mostly to make it more challenging for you to actually help customers. Managers talk about you and play favorites. You will feel completely appreciated during the training but will find out very fast after training you do not matter. They schedule breaks where you will wait an hour between breaks at time and where you will wait 3 hours between breaks at times. You will get told often "you are lucky to have this job" or "hard to find a job that pays this well" they do that to blackmailing you into staying. The absolute worst thing you will be told whenever you need ANYTHING is "business needs" they do not account for "personal needs" or "human needs"

Pros

Benefits, knowledgeable employees, subsidized cafeteria, excellent amenities and location.

Cons

While I can not speak to other departments, the overall marketing department consists of a toxic culture that serves of no benefit to the overall functioning of the company. There is a lack of direction an inability to focus on the strengths of individual contributors. You seem to always look for who is leaving (either voluntarily or involuntarily) next. Management does not help in one bit. They are more concerned about their jobs that they are about maximizing shareholder value. Realistically, if you maximize shareholder value, you won't ever have to worry about your job. But the culture is based on tearing others down to save yourself. My over a year experience at ADT was terrible because the work did not come first. The politics did. Your manager will most likely be inept, will probably have little ability and will in all likelihood blame you for their deficiencies. It's probably a good thing the company is being taken over, hopefully the new owners and new management either clean house or change the culture. Don't work here.
