I applied online. I interviewed at ZoomInfo in Sep 2020
Interview
Great, the entire interview process was excellent. I did a phone screen with the internal recruiter, then interviewed with the direct manager and VP of the solutions team. I tried to schedule my interviews ASAP being that some opportunities had passed on me before over weekends and if I scheduled interviews more than three days later (regardless of my availability).
I had what I thought were excellent interviews all the way through. Thorough about questions based on my conversations with those at the company, and everyone I spoke to was friendly and receptive to my questions and follow-up emails. After I had my final interview I never heard from anyone ever again. I had emailed each person I spoke to and came up with nothing.
Great interview process, frustrating result.
Thank you very much for this feedback. We’re happy to hear that your interview process was thorough and pleasant. However, we do apologize that you did not receive a phone call alerting you to the outcome of the recruitment process. It is our standard practice to call all applicants that are interviewed before closing the job. We would like to speak with you further about this experience so that we can improve our processes. Please reach out to us at HRfeedback@zoominfo.com.
Was a really strange and frustrating process.
Applied online and had a great discovery call with the recruiter. Told me I would be sent a Cognitive Assessment (should've been the first red flag) and after results would be scheduled for an interview with Manager.
Passed assessment and then was given a link for availability for interview for the following 3 days. Submitted immediately and then never heard back from recruiter about scheduled. Emailed 2x and then got a phone call on my cell saying ANOTHER assessment was needed before moving forward.
Assessment sent on a Saturday night, didn't take it over the weekend and then get an automated email Monday saying that I was no longer in consideration.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic Behavioral Interview Questions such as "Tell us about previous experience, why are you looking for a new job"
Thank you for providing this feedback. We’re pleased that your discovery call with the recruiter went well, and we apologize that your experience was so frustrating thereafter. Our goal is for all candidates to receive excellent service from our recruiting team. Cognitive assessments are important tools for us to gauge candidates’ learning styles and how well they would likely fit within a team. However, it is not standard practice for candidates to be given two assessments, nor is it usual for our response rate to be so slow. We would like to understand more about your experience so that we can do better next time. Please reach out to us at HRfeedback@zoominfo.com.
I interviewed at ZoomInfo (Waltham, MA) in Sep 2020
Interview
I was reached out by the recruiter with an open position post which I applied to it.
The initial round was with the recruiter, post which I had a technical screening with one of their developers.
That was a walkthrough on various technologies and some coding questions on algos.
After this round, the remote onsite consisted of 4 rounds. The initial was hands-on coding with a developer.
The second was with a Senior software engineer again on some concepts of algos and data structures.
The third was a system design interview with a Principal developer and the last with a UI developer.
Thank you for leaving this feedback. This is a great representation of what the interview process looks like for engineering positions. Candidates will typically be asked to step through some coding exercises in addition to technical and behavioral questions. We are so glad that you chose to work for us, welcome to ZoomInfo! If you have any suggestions for us regarding our interview process and ways to create an even stronger experience, we would welcome the feedback. Feel free to contact us at HRfeedback@zoominfo.com.
