Started the interview process - it seems like the company has a good structure within product and data as well as competitve pay. Didn't end up moving forward as the timing wasn't right.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wise (Budapest) in Aug 2025
Interview
Initial screening call with an enthusiastic recruiter, followed by a management strategy and background review with team leaders (a level down from the role), I did not pass this second round unfortunately, so can't describe the remaining part of the process, but I believe at least 2 more interviews were in the process. Too many if you ask me honestly. The strategy to interview "up" seemed encouraging to me at first. It's a refreshing approach, and makes sense for reports to get a feeling for their supervisor in the interview process. In hindsight, this approach has large drawbacks especially in understanding of the maturity and mastery of clarity and answers to questions given by the interviewed person.
