I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Ontario, CA) in Oct 2014
Interview
group interview. absolutely unorganized. they felt the need to ask 10 different times throughout the hiring process if I was sure I wanted the job. like what? I'm hear obviously because I want it. stop asking!! and they had the whole group role play a scene in the store. (I'm only telling you guys this part because some people are just plain dumb) but on the paper with the scene it said ON THE BOTTOM **note: there is two other cast members on the floor folding shirts** UTILIZE THIS PEOPLE !!!!! maybe because I'm I retail and I knew obviously to ask my other employees to help with all the customers in the scene but none of the other people in the group mentioned that. they were reeeeeally dumb. truth be told.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you sure you want to be a cast member? are you positive? are you really really sure? not just sure, but positive? 100 perfect sure? (I'm being completely serious btw)
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company in Jul 2012
Interview
It was actually my sister who wanted to apply but she was under 18 so I applied instead. So yes, you have to be 18 or older to get hired. I applied in July 2012 and I got a call for a one on one interview with the store manager. During my interview, I was asked about a brief summary about myself, to describe a time I solved a problem in the workplace, why I chose to work for the Disney Store, and who was my favorite Disney Character and why. The interview did not feel like an interview because we were just conversing about our love for Disney. It was probably the easiest and best interview I've had so far. I ended up declining the offer at first because I was about to start college that fall but they asked me to think about the offer and give them a call back once I settle my situation. I ended up calling them back in September of that year and I got the job! The training was definitely awesome because it involved Disney characters and such so it was quite enjoyable. I worked with them for 2 years and it was a memorable experience.
Since 2013, they've changed the way they hire people. They don't do one on one interviews anymore, instead, they ask you to apply online where you're asked to type your answers for the interview questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (New York, NY) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied online and within a couple of days I received an email asking to come in for a group interview. The group consisted of 5 people, including myself. We were asked who is our favorite Disney character and why and why do you want to work at the Disney store. We also had to read from a couple of pages from a children's book and role play (one person pretending to be a guest and the other pretending to be a Cast member) to see how we would act in certain situations. The interview itself was really easy and fun.
