I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2020
Interview
I was contacted early on by one of the HR recruiters, and while I was a bit unsure of my qualifications, she assured me I was what they were looking for. I should say right off the bat, that this recruiter stayed with me from beginning to the end of the process, consistently contacting me and answering any questions. From there she sent me a technical test to complete to see if I would be able to go on to the next step. I completed the test and had a video interview to go over my results and talk about the platform I would be working on, about myself, and about the company. From there I was schedule for 2 sets of in-person interviews, followed by one more set of video interviews. After I finished the final interview I was contacted saying I should hear back soon and that I did well! Sure enough, I was contacted for my references, and a week later was presented with an offer. Yay!
Note: there were several interview questions but I can’t remember the majority! They were very personable and asked me about myself, my life, my goals. It was a very comfortable and warm experience.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2020
Interview
I applied for the job on their website and received a phone call from their recruiter after a couple of days.
Had an online video call with my future tech and product managers. They asked a lot of questions about my experience, then they told me a few things about the project, to see if I'd be excited to work on it. I am :)
Completed an online technical test. C# basic programming.
Had an onsite interview with the tech manager, team lead and HR. This one was more about getting to know each other, to see if we'd be on the same page about the development process, product vision and stuff like that.
Then, after they called and checked my references, I received an offer within a few days.
The whole process was honestly the best I've encountered in my career. Everyone was very friendly and polite, they seem to care a lot about what they are doing and how they are growing the company.
I'm kind of a shy/introvert person, but, for me at least, they made the experience very low stress.
I am very happy I applied

They asked a lot about my hands on experience with various game engines. They need people who encountered in their work a lot of the problems they are trying to offer solutions for.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Helsinki, Finlandia Meridional) in Dec 2019
Interview
Proactive communication from the recruitment team. Firstly, I had a 20 minutes of online screening with the recruitment manager. I was then invited to an onsite interview with the team leader. It lasted for about an hour. This interview was not technical. After that, I was given a take-home technical assignment.
