I applied online and got a phone call a few days later to set up an interview. The interview itself was extremely laid back and actually very unprofessional. The person that was scheduled to interview me wasn't there that day, so they through in a random manager that had never interviewed before.

It was not very personable. When I applied it was for a seasonal job, and they just cared more about if I was willing to work all holidays. At the time I just needed the money and they seemed like they just needed more people. They didn't really care about strengths and weaknesses. They saw that I worked in customer service before and that was basically my "in".

Basic questions you'd ask but a lot geared towards the company in general. You'd better be effusive in your Ulta praise or else you're not going to get it. I was interviewed by 2 people, a salon manager for sure and an assistant store manager, if I'm not mistaken. They offered $8.25 an hour for far more work and responsibility than a Beauty Consultant, who makes the same...
