I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Bowling Green, KY) in Apr 2016
Interview
The interviews for Beauty Advisors are done in groups of 3 or 4 people at a time. It's a fairly informal, comfortable interview with each person being addressed for answers to the questions. Some may see this as competitive, but the other two people that I interviewed with were also experienced so I didn't find it to be competitive. I do recommend wearing all black or black and white for the interview process as that's the dress code and will help you look a little more professional for the interview.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Winston-Salem, NC) in Nov 2015
Interview
It was a group interview. Random questions were asked and no tests for skill given just a conversation full of personal stories. No explanation of benefits occurred or opportunities to advance. No other management was included in the process and test of make-up knowledge or ability. A long computer informational process was started and never given the opportunity to be finished.
