I submitted my resume and cover letter through an organization and was contacted for an in-person interview. The interviewer was kind enough and asked for my resume, which I provided. He proceeded to ask me the most generic questions you could expect from an interview. It was clear that he didn't care what the answers were and that he was just asking a prescribed set of questions. He didn't ask any follow-up questions or engage me in any way. He also made it painfully obvious that he had not read my resume by asking "So, I see here that you're (looks down and reads off the first job listed on my resume) X position for X company. Why don't you tell me how working there will prepare you for this job?" It felt entirely contrived and not at all like a real interview. He was dressed fairly informally compared to the representatives of others companies there (it was a job fair-type event) and didn't bring any business cards or provide a way to get in contact. I got the impression that he just didn't care and neither did the company.
