The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Body Shop
Interview
Online application followed by store trial. Went into the store and had brief interview with manager- before having shop floor trial approaching and selling to customers. Make sure you dress in all black as I was not notified of this yet they were disappointed when I arrived dressed differently!!
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Darlington, North East England, England) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied on line via the website, and was phoned by the manager the next day to come into the store for a one-on-one interview. I arrived and was first asked general customer service based questions such as 'Name a time when you worked well in a team', 'How would you deal with a difficult customer' and 'Why do you want to work for The Body Shop?' After this, I was taken onto the shop floor and asked to just walk around and help customers, be mindful of the offers the store had on etc etc. I was lucky in this, as a customer came in that was very talkative and I ended up giving her a makeover on my floor trial. After the shop floor trial, I was taken back into the office and was asked if I had any questions. I asked about what hours were available, overtime and opportunities to get involved with any campaigns.
After this, I was called by the manager the next morning and told that I had been successful and was offered the 8 hour contract. I was told what to wear, to bring my bank details and to not wear much makeup as I would have a full makeover and skincare consultation on the induction day. I was also allowed to pick 5 products to take home for free.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Douglas) in Oct 2014
Interview
I first done a shop floor trial then a few days later I had an interview. In the trial I just had to check on customers to see if they needed any help.
