The process took 4 days. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Barrie, ON) in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied to the Body Shop in store with a simple cover letter and handed it to the assistant manager. I was a frequent shopper at their store and I love their products, and I just so happened to be looking for a job. A few days later, I was called in for an interview by the manager. The interview was very simple. She asked me what my favourite body Shop product was, if I enjoyed doing make up applications, she gave me scenarios, for example, if an ignorant customer came in and was being unruly and disgusting, what would I do. And so forth. She asked me about my availability. They are very flexible with people who have school and/or other jobs. I am a full time second year Uni student (I am 19), with another job (Green Earth, also amazing!) which is in the same mall as the Body shop, and they are very flexible and nice with me. I am only seasonal, but she said that there's an open position once seasonal ends if I am interested (of course I am!) I had an amazing experience. I haven't started working there yet, but I got hired :) and the manager and I have a very nice professional relationship! I can't wait to start there. I really can't wait.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Body Shop (Edmonton, AB) in Aug 2015
Interview
Answering to general question about customer service, went outside the store to show passenger the product, the whole process is quite quick and warm, and I did not feel stressed at all
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Body Shop
Interview
Applied to one store and the manager there was in the middle of the process of getting another store open. Had 3 in person interviews in as many weeks. Got hired after the 3rd interview for a seasonal position and a couple weeks later was chosen as one to help open the 2nd store. Also was chosen to be a full employee, not just seasonal.
