I applied online. I interviewed at Teach for America
Interview
The interview was very intensive, lasting 4-5 hours. You have to plan a 5 minute lesson, conduct a teamwork based activity with people you are essentially competing with, and then do a 1-1 interview for about 45 minutes. It was very hard, but also one of the most positive interview experiences I've had!
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Teach for America (Denver, CO) in Oct 2018
Interview
It was extensive - the interview required a lot of online essays, extensive referrals, teaching a lesson, solving a group problem, and a 30 minute interview. The one on one interview seemed to be the most important. They asked questions about my experience, how long i've been committed to my current activities for, social justice, etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Teach for America (Nashville, TN) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview ranged from a variety of activities. It first started with teaching a 5-minute segment. Then a group activity was assigned. The group had to collectively vote and tackle a problem regarding budgetary issues. The observers looked out how the group engaged each other. This was followed by a 30 minute to hour long interview.
