I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Teach for America in Oct 2009
Interview
The thing to remember is that TFA is looking to staff its own mission - to raise test scores. It is not necessarily looking for innovative teachers, THEY will train you in their own innovative teaching methods. Just show that you believe in their mission and are organized and efficient; make sure that you reference their core values at least once.

Question 1
How do you exeplify Teach for America's core values?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Teach for America (New York, NY) in Jan 2010
Interview
I applied online and got an invite that day for a phone interview. I did have an internal employee referral though, so I'm not sure if that's why I heard so quickly. I had my 30 minute phone interview and have yet to hear if I am moving along in the process or not. Questions were based around Core Values and a little about previous work experiences. Want to know how you have handled yourself in a tough situation and how did you overcome the obstacle.

Question 1
What did you like most about your last job and what did you like least?
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Teach for America (Saint Louis, MO) in Nov 2009
Interview
Extremely similar to all other recorded posts. Should be noted that you are not trying to sell yourself as much as your trying to fit into their core beliefs. They are looking for someone who reflects them. Read their website, study their mission statement, and reflect both in your answers.
