I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Stockton, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online and received a call from a recruiter within a week. We chatted for about 10-15 minutes, which set up a more formal interview with her the next week. That interview lasted about 45 mins and included about 4-5 questions related to providing great customer service, disagreements with a boss, fixed a problem, and a mistake i made. After passing that phone interview, I was asked to take an online assessment that was about 1 hour long. I was contacted a week later about meeting the STL (store team leader) for an in person email. That interview was very similar to the phone interview with the recruiter but more time was spent talking about my skills and personal interests. I felt that we clicked very well and she asked me to come back for an interview with her boss at the District level. A new interview was scheduled for the following week with the DTL and a STL from another local store. The interview followed the format of the others with all questions being behavioral based that needed to be handled via the STAR method. The interview seemed to go well like the others, but the energy level from the panel wasn't as the prior two. It was pretty clear that this group did not wish to show any emotion and sat mostly stone faced. The interview was about an hour and was told i would be called back that week. I got an email within a week saying that I would not be getting an offer. I frankly don't know what went wrong given that the interviews with the recruiter and especially the STL that would be my boss went very well. My thoughts are that if the STL (person accountable for the store) likes someone, that person should be able to hire that him/her and not be overruled by the DTL or anyone else that isn't directly accountable for the store.

Interview
Went through 5 interviews, all behavioral questions. I got an email from a recruiter about 2 weeks after submitting my resume, and got the description of the job, as well as a hefty salary offer. Got repetitive after the first 3 interviews. Took about 1 month to complete.

Interview
Pretty much all situational questions like "tell me a time when...."
The Interviewer asked me the questions, took the time to write them down, then asked the next one. There was really no fluid convo. Just a Q&A sort of interview. Just study up on all the questions you see here, apply the STAR method when telling your stories, and be energetic and smile. Don't be boring.
