I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
I did a brief interview over the phone and she let me know she wanted to scheduled a more formal interview. After the 2nd interview over the phone I was told I would receive confirmation for an in person interview if I was selected to go further in the process. I was e-mailed in less than a week for an in person interview.
the phone interview was quick, the assessment was weird, it took longer, it was unnecessary. If I re-apply I will pay attention to that process. they took long to respond. I wish the first interview was face to face, and not on phone, it got very automatized, if they emphasize on customer service, they need to emphasize on interview service
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target (Washington, DC) in Mar 2012
Interview
Went to a job fair at a local university, scheduled two back-to-back interviews the next day with the recruiter, phone interview the following day including instructions to an online personality and skills assessment, and got the job offer within 24 hours. Overall very straightforward interview and asked a lot of "Tell me about a time when..." questions. Be prepared with stories and specifics.
