I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jan 2010
Interview
Initially I was contacted by a recruiter in the stores pyramid of Target Corporation. This initial conversation was to gauge my work experience and interest in the position. After the initial conversation, a phone interview was set up a week later with another recruiter. The phone interview consisted of 5-8 questions that were primarily behavior based (Tell about a time when...). About a week later I was contacted by another employee in HR to set up a full-day of onsite interviews at the Regional office. There were three formal interviews with various group and district leaders. Again, interview questions were behavioral-based and consisted of 5-6 questions. In addition to the formal interviews, the day was filled with panel discussions from current ETLs and morning welcome from the Group President. The culture of Target seems to be very fun. They made it clear that you will work very hard as an ETL in the stores but you will have fun doing it. The opportunities to advance are also very appealing.

The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target (Salt Lake City, UT) in Aug 2010
Interview
Two phone interviews so far with HR Representatives. The second was shorter than the first. The first was just basic information about me, what I was looking for, and then an intro to Target. Second interview was just a few behavioral questions. Have not heard back yet on whether I'm still in the running or not.
