I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Eau Claire, WI) in Dec 2010
Interview
My background is HR but I wanted to go out of the box and see what else was available in my community. I applied for the Executive Team Leader position and within 5 days a recruiter contacted me by email and wanted to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was about 30 minutes long and consisted of questions that dealt with leadership abilities, dealing with conflict, improving efficiency and overcoming challenges in the work place. In many places where we work it is hard for us to personalize projects/accomplishments but in this case it was important that I talked about myself and not about "the company".

Question 1
Describe a challenge that you had to overcome, how you succeeded, the quick decisions you had to make. Also did this challenge make your superior question your decision, if so how did you persuade them that you were right about your decision.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Portland, OR) in Mar 2010
Interview
Recruiter contacted me vis linkedin and set up a phone interview. The interview was quite short because she asked if I had a college degree and when I said "no" she informed me that she could not move forward in the process. Wow, with 15 years of experience and positive results they'd rather look for a college grad with no experience? Good luck managing the turn-over that comes along with that. People should be hired based on talent, not experience or education.

Interviewer never asked any questions aside from education.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Dec 2010
Interview
I initially aplied on my college career website. After a couple of weeks, I received a call from a recruiter who was very well spoken and professional sounding. We joked about our respective colleges and other niceties at first. After about 5 minutes, I began to feel as though I had said something wrong -possibly about my 2-5 year career goals. She advised me to research the position and pick a day later in the week to get a call back... That's where I am now. I am surprised how crazy this interview process seems so I am doing my due dilligence. Wish me luck!
