I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sephora (Kansas City, MO) in Jul 2015
Interview
A lot of people talk about group interviews, however, after witnessing a Season/Holiday hiring session, I'm thinking that "group" interviews are just for seasonal people.
But anyways, very easy interview. They just want to know your retail experience and "people skills" and how they will benefit from hiring you.
I will telly you right now, that even though you may want to start out in a specific area, they will make you cashier (which is normal of most retail positions) however, instead of being there for a few weeks, you may be there for months. Now, I got lucky because i was hired right before they hired for seasonal, so as soon as the seasonal employees were on the floor, they stuck me in Skincare where I wanted to be, but I've heard from others that they were stuck on the registers for upwards of three months when they started.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask you the questions that everyone else talks about: "If a client dropped a perfume they purchased after they left your store and came back and wanted it replaced, would you do it?" Blah blah blah. They basically want to know if you want to please the customer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Lansing, MI) in Jun 2013
Interview
I first applied online which is where all applications are submitted, then I got a call for a group interview. I ended up being the only one who showed up for my group interview and it was very comfortable and I was really impressed by the store managers that interviewed me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My experience and why I wanted to work for Sephora as well as if this was a temporary position for me or if this is a life long goal.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Dec 2014
Interview
The hiring process was surprisingly simply and stress free. Of course I was nervous before attending but it happened to be a group interview. There were 5 of us in the room and the person conducting the interview was the store director. She was fun and bubbly, made us feel at ease. She went around the circle asking us questions. Some related to make up others weren't.
