I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sears (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied through a job search website and received a phone call a few weeks later calling me in for an interview the next day. It was a group interview with three other people and we were asked the same questions by the managers. The interview was very straightforward and in the end, we even had to "sell" a product to the managers. Afterwards, we had to fill out forms regarding our information and bring in 2 pieces of ID later that day to be photocopied. The managers said they would only contact us if interested by the next week. I didn't get a call until 2.5 weeks later informing me I had received the position.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sears (Mary Esther, FL) in Jan 2014
Interview
Was very short when I went to do the interview. Lasted an estimated 5 minutes. Asked if I was available to start working that day. Made me stay in the checkout area and not know how to do anything with no training of any sorts. Showed me they were low on people for a reason. After working there I understood why they couldn't keep anyone hired there.
