They will schedule you for an interview immediately after your application process (Im guessing if their requirements are met) which is good. I did not apply for the position that I interviewed for, I guess they just assumed that I would be desperate (I wasn't, I just wanted a summer job so I went along with it). Im guessing that it may be a strategy of theirs just to get you into the store, because I have a friend in a totally different city that experienced the exact same process with them.
Either way, because they just sent over the supervisor from the department that needed people the most, just by the intro that my interviewer gave, I was sure the job was mines if I wanted it. The person doing the interview was professional neither in appearance or in the way he spoke. I just felt like this is noteworthy.
So all in all if this isn't the norm (trying to get you to accept a position that you didnt apply for) then Im not the best person to review the hiring process.
