I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Silverdale, WA) in Apr 2012
Interview
The interview process was very easy and brief. They just wanted to fill as many bodies as they could. It was a sales based job, so sheer volume of associates was all they cared about. As long as you sound somewhat competent you will get the job. Once you get done with the interview you go through a 5 day initial training course, which is self explanatory and online computer based training.

Interview
I applied for Sears and got a call a couple hours later from the Human Resources Department. I went into interview a week after. I had to wait about 20 minutes upon arrival before the head cashier took me to the interviewing room. They asked me several questions involving my experience with people and how I handle tough problems. The interview took about half an hour.
