I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sears (Austin, TX) in Mar 2013
Interview
It was actually a fairly relaxed and low-stress process. I liked all 3 of the ladies that interviewed me. They asked relevant questions, and kept it engaging. Only 1 of the 3 people that interviewed me is still here. One was promoted at another location, and the other was let go.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears (Las Cruces, NM) in Oct 2015
Interview
You'll be brought into a manager's office (although they'll probably make you wait half an hour because they're terribly disorganized). They'll begin by asking you about your experience in retail, and specifically in the department you've applied for (shoes, hardware, mattresses, etc). You'll be asked about your availability but this information will not be recorded, remembered, or taken into account when the schedule is made, so lie all you want about the massive amounts of free time you have. A few generic hiring questions, a drug and felony screening, and you're on your way to disappointing customers, your dreams, and your family.

How do you connect with people? How do you quickly establish a bond and trust with a customer? Give an example of an insightful detail that might help you understand a customer's needs or wants.
