I applied online. I interviewed at Sears (Saginaw, MI) in Dec 2014
Interview
The interview process was easy. The questions were scripted (literally the manager sat in front of a computer and read questions from the screen). There was little eye contact as, like I mentioned, the manager was staring at their computer screen 95% of the time. The questions were not difficult, I think a ten year old with any kind of deception skills could have effectively negotiated the interview process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Sears (Round Rock, TX) in Apr 2015
Interview
First, I had a phone interview that went well. Second, I had an in person interview and was hired on the spot. On my way home from the interview, I received a call from Sears and was told that they decided not to have another training class but they would keep me in mind if decided to hire again. A few days later I got a call back asking me if I still wanted the job. I accepted.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Sears (Savannah, GA)
Interview
I went during an Hiring Event. I was interviewed in a group of 3 other prospective employees. I believed the company really needed people and it was easier for them to just interview us all in groups of 3 or 4. We basically wrote in our own answers in the interview question sheets. as long as was open to their schedule and the job requirements we had the job.
