This is the new hiring and interview process for Old Navy as of 2013: you will have a phone prescreen which will be followed up with a show and tell exercise in the store along with a panel (american idol) style audition to become a "sellebrity" which will then be followed up by an additional final interview with the store manager.

Question 1
Leaving your dignity at the door to perform for them.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Old Navy (Calgary, AB) in Sep 2013
Interview
I was called in for a group interview. There were four of us. Three employees were interviewing us. We got asked what we thought of Old Navy and what we knew about it. They then told us a little bit about the company and what the company did to help out in the community. We were then asked to bring in an item of importance and say what it meant to us. We played a few games, including charades and one where we had to go grab an item from the store and try to sell it to one of the employees. We also had to go up to a customer and ask if they needed any help. They then said that they'd call us within two weeks, saying whether or not we got the job.

Question 1
explaining why this item we had brought had so much value and importance to us
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Old Navy (Troy, MI) in Jun 2013
Interview
Got called in for an interview 2 weeks after I applied online. I showed up and I was interviewed with 4 other people. Truthfully, I cannot stand group interviews, simply because whoever spoke up first was out in the clear and the other 4 of us had to scramble to make us stand out. I got called 2 weeks later and was offered the job, but I declined.
