I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nielsen (Bengaluru) in Apr 2016
Interview
The process started with a written test that consisted of 10 questions purely Math-based, and two case studies which can be attempted with a basic knowledge of market research. Henceforth, there were two interview rounds that were purely technical. Strong statistics and econometric skills are required to answer all the questions. There were some questions based on logical reasoning as well. Overall, the process was tough but a good experience overall.
Phone interview with HR. Then an in-person interview w/ 4 different people (lots of case studies here). Have examples of pharmaceutical advertising in mind. Then 2 additional phone interviews. Office was very casual.

Question 1
How many miles are ran on treadmills in the US in one day in May?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nielsen (Wilton, CT) in Jun 2012
Interview
Went to their office and was greeted by the receptionist, who told me to wait for a bit. Then I was led through the office into a room where I filled out a questionnaire. I was asked questions by two different people. I then was guided out. I didn't get the position, but primarily because I was originally told that this would be a qualitative research-type position when in fact it required more quantitative research and stat knowledge.
