I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY)
Interview
I was contacted by one of the managers. We discussed my background and the projects he and his team were working on. Came in for an interview with one of the senior developers. Did about an hour and a half technical interview on software design for real-world problems/solutions and then some CS related questions. Everyone was great and the projects seemed really interesting.
I got word a few days later from the manager that he wanted to move forward. He said HR would contact me to send an offer and do all the background stuff. From this moment forward was 100% the worst experience I've ever had with an HR department and the on-boarding process at a company. I had to consistently reach out to the recruiters to get information. I would leave voicemails and send emails but never get a response. I would also get the wrong information a lot of the times. The only way to make any progress would be to reach out to my manager and let him know the situation. He would call HR and then they would immediately call me back. If I had not already committed to working at NYP, I would have accepted an offer at a different company based purely on how terrible this entire process was.
Once I started everything was great though! Love my team and managers, and the office is in a nice building by Grand Central.
I had a phone interview. I was called late and offered no apology and a vague explanation. The person I spoke with said that her assistant would be contacting me because they wanted to set up an in-person interview. I did not hear back for days, so I emailed the assistant and still received no response. I then checked on my application and it said I was no longer being considered. Wow. I’m sure the interviewer realized something in my app she’d missed (didn’t seem like she’d read my resume at all and she had poor attention to detail) that wouldn’t make me a good candidate after we spoke or they interviewed someone with more experience, but that is just low. Everyone experiences the, “oh yeah we’ll get back to you next week” lie, but to tell me there would absolutely be an in-person interview and then flat out ignore me? Basically ghosted by NY Presbyterian. Just want management to know how poorly their HR department treats potential candidates.

One interview with HR and then another interview with the Telecommunications manager. After that you have to wait about two weeks before you know if they liked you or not.
